JOHANNESBURG - Molemo Maarohanye, popularly known as “Jub Jub”, has been released on R5,000 bail.
He was arrested on Sunday and faces three charges, including kidnapping.
Maarohanye applied for bail ahead of his first appearance.
In his application, he raised concerns over delays in appearing before the Germiston Magistrate's Court.
The High Court granted the application and ordered his release.
The matter has been postponed to next Monday for further investigation.
One of the charges relates to allegedly pointing a firearm or something that could be mistaken for one.
Jub Jub was arrested after a pellet gun was found at his home.
He's accused of attacking an e-hailing driver in Edenvale and holding him captive.
