JOHANNESBURG - The SA Weather Service has issued severe weather warnings for the country's central and eastern parts on Wednesday.
Heavy rains, thunderstorms and localised flooding can be expected over Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, KZN and parts of the Eastern Cape.
Heavy rains battered Gauteng after an unexpected weather warning over the weekend.
Emergency services are warning residents and motorists to be vigilant.
