CAPE TOWN - City of Johannesburg mayor Dada Morero will on Tuesday face a grill from members of Parliament.
He is leading the City's delegation to appear before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa).
Scopa chair Songezo Zibi has welcomed the City's submission ahead of the sitting.
But he is concerned that despite their honesty, the picture is bleak. The DA says Morero is accountable for what it calls reckless spending that could send the city into recession.
The Auditor-General hammered a nail in Joburg's coffin last week.
She said the metro is operating on an unfunded budget, giving a false sense of assurance about its financial health.
