JOHANNESBURG - A motion of no confidence has been tabled against Johannesburg Executive Mayor Dada Morero.
The motion has been proposed by councillor Kabelo Gwamanda of Al Jamah and seconded by the UDM.
The corruption-accused Gwamanda was forced to resign as Joburg mayor in 2024 and was replaced by Morero.

But Morero's political position has never been weaker.
The metro continues to battle water, electricity and infrastructure problems.
He recently lost out to Loyiso Masuku as chairperson of the greater Johannesburg region.
The motion argues that Morero has failed to provide decisive leadership amid ongoing service delivery failures affecting residents across the city.
