Motsoaledi promises to recover Tembisa Hospital money

POLOKWANE – Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi says he'll stop at nothing to ensure that money looted from Tembisa hospital is recovered.

About R2 billion has been siphoned from the Gauteng Health Department through the facility.

So far over R13 million in cash has been recovered directly from a Tembisa Hospital employee. Several officials are implicated.

"We are going to continue to work with SIU and NPA. I won’t rest until at least 90% is recovered, we’ll get those Lamborghinis back,”  Motsoaledi said.

“Some of the people working there are working for the state, we have their pension money. One of them was so scared he brought the money back, an ordinary worker having R13 million. I’ve worked for 32 years but I don’t have that amount."
