Namhla Mtwa murder case still cold after three years

MTHATHA - Three years ago, Namhla Mtwa was brutally murdered in Mthata, East London.

eNCA has seen a police report revealing that the case, once handled by the National Task Team, has been plagued by SAPS administrative interference and inconsistencies.

Sources also say there were missing statements from the docket, which is part of the bundle of 121 dockets attached to the KwaZulu-Natal Political Killings Task Team.

The NPA has declined to comment on the case, saying it is still under investigation.

While the SAPS has not responded to requests for comment.

eNCA's Pule Letshwiti-Jones and Nceba Ntlanganiso spoke exclusively to Mtwa’s sister.

She’s in hiding and fears, as a whistleblower and witness, that her life is in danger.
