JOHANNESBURG - SPAR is withdrawing selected yoghurt products over contamination and spoilage concerns.
The recall is for SPAR Fat Free, Low Fat, Double Cream, Indulge Double Cream and Active Breakfast Drinking Yoghurt products.
It affects those with a sell-by date of 9 August 2026 and a use-by date of 12 August 2026.
SPAR says a machine malfunction during production caused a packaging integrity issue that went undetected.
Consumers are being warned not to consume the affected yoghurts as they may cause stomach upsets.
Customers are urged to return the products to any SPAR store for a full refund or exchange.
