Ndodana Tshuma extradition case gets underway

JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority has entered into a plea and sentencing agreement with Ndodana Tshuma.

The UK national is wanted in Britain in connection with the alleged murders of his wife and two daughters.

In South Africa, however, Tshuma faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as contravening the Immigration Act.

Police allege Tshuma was found in possession of a firearm and ammunition that he bought in South Africa after fleeing the UK.

He has pleaded guilty to the South African charges.

Extradition proceedings will determine whether Tshuma will be handed over to UK authorities to face the murder allegations.
