JOHANNESBURG - The newly appointed National Director of Public Prosecutions Andy Mothibi is outlining his vision for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).
Mothibi is also expected to address matters relating to the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry nto criminality, political interference and corruption in the criminal justice system.
The inquiry follows serious allegations made by Kwazulu-Natal Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi about the existence and operation of a sophisticated criminal syndicate that has allegedly infiltrated the criminal justice system in the country.
Mothibi was appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa last month. He replaces Shamila Batohi who has concluded her seven-year term.
