Ngizwe Mchunu denies torching his house

DURBAN - Anti-illegal immigration activist Ngizwe Mchunu has hit back at those accusing him of torching his own house.

The controversial former radio jock's homestead in eMbumbulu, South of Durban, was gutted by a fire at the weekend.

Mchunu's house was allegedly set on fire after three men reportedly arrived searching for him. He was in Johannesburg at the time.

He said his activism puts him in the crosshairs of drug dealers, undocumented workers and even EFF leader Julius Malema.

He is currently facing legal action from Malema over utterances that some politicians had links to drug dealers.

Without mentioning names, Mchunu accused some politicians of dealing in drugs.

"Those are the same politicians who accuse me of burning down my own house. In my culture, you can undertake all kinds of absurdity, but you never play with fire."

"We are disrupting protection and anti-illegal migration rackets," he added.

No one was physically harmed, the damage to the property was severe.
