Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi set for another term as KZN police chief

DURBAN – KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi’s contract will be renewed for another term.

This is according to police boss Fannie Masemola. 

Mkhwanazi’s contract was set to expire at the end of March.

Masemola said details of extending the contract are being finalised.

“We are in the process of finalising those details. So yes, he will still be Provincial Commissioner of KZN.”

“We have got a good work relationship and the Premier agreed to the renewal of the contract. So, we are just working on modalities,” Masemola added.

Earlier this year, KZN Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli formally endorsed the renewal of the contract.
