PRETORIA - Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Velenkosini Hlabisa has urged spaza shop owners to meet the 28 February registration deadline.
The minister engaged with business owners during a walkabout at a registration centre in Tshwane, while addressing concerns.
He warned unregistered businesses they risk missing out on crucial opportunities and regulatory benefits.

Hlabisa has ruled out extensions for spaza shop registrations.
Tshwane Metropolitan offices report the highest number of spaza shop registrations but have identified a concerning pattern among applicants.
Despite Hlabisa's insistence on the deadline, some spaza shop owners have raised concerns about the high costs of registration.
