CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police have confirmed they have not yet been formally notified of any new developments in the case of missing seven-year-old Joshlin Smith.
This follows claims by Patriotic Alliance leader Gayton McKenzie that he has new information regarding Joshlin’s disappearance.
McKenzie made the claims during a live broadcast on the party’s Facebook page last week but did not disclose further details.

Police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut said the investigation into Joshlin’s disappearance remains ongoing.
He added that detectives will continue their work until a meaningful conclusion is reached.
Traut said any information or leads that come to the attention of investigators are being followed up in an effort to locate the missing child.
