NPA boss Batohi says she's not going anywhere

JOHANNESBURG - National Prosecuting Authority Head Advocate Shamila Batohi says she is not going anywhere.

That's despite calls for her to step down.

The calls stem from NPA's failures in big cases, including the Televangelist Timothy Omotoso case.

Batohi has eight more months before her tenure comes to an end.

"If I really thought that, as the national director, I was not performing, I would step down immediately," she said.

"I have eight months left in office. I came back to this country to fight for justice and the rule of law.

"I've been fighting for justice all my life and I don't intend to stop now."
