NPA to go ahead with firearms prosecution against Jub Jub

JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority wants to prosecute Jub Jub Maarohanye on firearms charges.

The NPA declined a dispute resolution submitted by Maarohanye.

The Director of Public Prosecutions believes there's sufficient evidence for a successful prosecution.

Maarohanye is accused of discharging a firearm in public in June.

The incident involved an e-hailing driver in Edenvale.

He will return to the Germiston Regional Court on 23 November.
