JOHANNESBURG - Timothy Omotoso's supporters have gathered outside a police station in Mdantsane, praying for his release.
Eastern Cape police confirmed his arrest early on Saturday morning.
He’s currently being held at the Mdantsane police station.
Police say this latest arrest relates to immigration matters.
"The immigration inspectorate of the Department of Home Affairs, together with SAPS, implemented the arrest," said National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola.
"The arrest is based on matters."
Masemola said Omotoso will appear in court on Monday.
