Operation Dudula takes immigration fight to schools

SOWETO - Operation Dudula is stepping up its push to keep undocumented migrant children out of South Africa’s public schools.

In Soweto, the group visited schools to engage with principals, warning them not to enrol these pupils in 2026.

The move is part of a national campaign that’s already drawing fierce criticism from education officials and rights groups.

The group believes undocumented pupils are placing a strain on the education system, leading to overcrowded classrooms.

The movement will deploy members outside school gates nationwide to enforce its campaign.
