Parents demand action over Milnerton High violence

CAPE TOWN - Angry parents have vowed to continue protesting until the culture of violence at Milnerton High School is addressed.

Tension flared up outside the school on Wednesday, with police firing stun grenades to disperse angry parents.

They demanded to be addressed by the authorities.

Eight pupils are on precautionary suspension after a disturbing video surfaced showing a 16-year-old pupil being assaulted at the school.

Police are also investigating a case of assault and say they are making good progress.

The footage, which has gone viral on social media, has sparked outrage at a time when matric exams are underway.
