CAPE TOWN - Parliament has disputed Fadiel Adams' claim that laptop problems delayed his responses to the Madlanga Commission.
The National Coloured Congress leader, who took the stand at the commission on Tuesday, said his faulty device had caused him to miss critical emails.
He said he had instead relied on phone calls and colleagues for updates about his work.

But Parliament says its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) records show no evidence of persistent malfunction or repeated repairs.
It says the logged issues were mainly password, login and Wi-Fi problems.
Parliament also says Adams had access to other devices to maintain his work.
“Members are provided with multiple ICT devices, including a laptop, tablet and smart phone, precisely to support continuity of access and enable Members to perform their parliamentary responsibilities.
“Where a member experiences a technical problem with an allocated device, established ICT support channels are available for the incident to be logged, diagnosed and resolved," Parliament clarified.
