Parliament has been under construction since an arson attack in 2022
CAPE TOWN - Cape Town police have opened a trespassing case against a 34-year-old man found in the Parliament yard.
The man jumped over the fence on Thursday night and fell asleep.
Authorities found him on Friday morning and apprehended him.
The suspect will appear in court on Monday on trespassing charges.
Parliament's building is currently undergoing repairs after a 2022 fire.
