Parly committees to meet over Rhoode testimony in Phala Phala saga

CAPE TOWN - Parliament's Police Committee wants to meet the Impeachment Committee to avoid duplication of work.

The 31-member impeachment committee is looking into President Cyril Ramaphosa's conduct during the Phala Phala theft.

The Police Committee, meanwhile, is looking into the actions of Presidential Protection Head Wally Rhoode.

He was meant to report the incident to his immediate superior.

IPID found serious allegations against Rhoode, but he was cleared after SAPS disciplinary proceedings.

The two committees are expected to meet to discuss who will be called when and where.
