DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal police have taken down a massive drug syndicate operating in Chatsworth, Durban.
In the disruptive operation led by the eThekwini Metro Police, the Hawks and SAPS Crime Intelligence, police on Wednesday swarmed drug dens in the area.
Several houses in the area where drugs are allegedly being sold and supplied have been targeted.
The coordinated operation will see authorities dismantle 11 operations in several areas concurrently around KZN.
Chatsworth is one of the areas that have been a focus for this team because of the high number of drugs that move around in the neighbourhood.
Several people are expected to be arrested.
