Chief Justice Mandisa Maya conducted an oversight visit to the High Court in Mthatha.
It follows allegations of corruption where court officials are allegedly soliciting bribes from attorneys.
Police and the Hawks are investigating the claims, while an internal investigation is underway.
The Office of the Chief Justice will review and strengthen internal controls to safeguard the court's credibility.
