MAKHANDA - Eastern Cape police are hunting for suspects involved in the separate murders in Makhanda.
Linomtha Skeyi (16) and 36-year-old Lusizo Ngqumbo were reported missing before Christmas.
Their bodies were found in open fields.
Skeyi's devastated family couldn't speak on camera.
But her sister has told eNCA that Linomtha went missing on 23 December.
She was found dead on Christmas Day with stab wounds to the upper body.
In a similar case, Ngqumbo was last seen on 20 December.
Her family reported her missing after her partner called to say she never came home.
They discovered her body at the mortuary three days later after seeing a Facebook post about a body in a field.
She had been strangled.
Eastern Cape MEC Bukiwe Fanta has visited the families to offer support.
She is urging communities to be vigilant.
So far, the police have no leads on who could have killed the two victims.
But the MEC promises she will not rest until justice for Linomtha and Lusizo is served.
- eNCA's Nceba Ntlanganiso has filed this report.
