JOHANNESBURG - At the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, a senior police official, Rachel Matjeng, says she used her romantic relationship with Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala to the advantage of the SAPS.
She continued to deny suggestions that she helped Matlala secure the controversial R360-million SAPS tender.
In fact, she claims she saved SAPS money.

Meanwhile, Matlala's legal team plans to submit a bail application based on new facts and an application to have him transferred back to Gauteng.
Matlala and four co-accused appeared in court today for a pre-trial hearing.
The matter was postponed to next Thursday.
