JOHANNESBURG - SAPS officials have raided suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu's KwaZulu-Natal home.
Cellphones were seized in the operation.
According to KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda, the search and seizure operation forms part of what he called "a normal Investigative process" on cases of defeating the ends of justice and fraud, among other charges that were opened in 2025 at Durban Central police station.
This is the second takedown at Mchunu's home, with the first taking place in October 2025.
Mchunu has remained on special leave since July last year after being implicated in allegations of political interference within SAPS.
