PRETORIA - South Africans were warned that should we experience rolling blackouts this winter, it would be limited to Stage 2.
And that's exactly where we are now.
Poor maintenance planning is part of the reasons behind this round of power cuts.
“The reason we are here today is that the promise to bring maintenance down to below 5,000 MW has not been fulfilled," said Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa.
Eskom says it will continue to provide progress update while once again promising to end power cuts soon.
