JOHANNESBURG - The case against Julius Mkhwanazi and Witness K continues in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
The suspended EMPD deputy head and Witness K were arrested on Friday in connection with the theft of precious stones.
The gems, worth nearly R15 million were allegedly stolen in Killarney in 2023, under the guise of a police operation.

Mkhwanazi blames his ex-lover for his latest round of legal troubles.
He claims Witness K devised a scheme to implicate him in the robbery after their relationship ended.
The pair faces charges of fraud and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
