Price hike for direct Eskom customers

JOHANNESBURG - Direct Eskom customers will be paying more for power from Wednesday.

The utility has implemented its 8,7 percent tariffs for the 2026/27 financial year.

Energy regulator Nersa approved the tariff hike earlier this month. Eskom says the increases will enable it to provide a stable and reliable electricity supply.

Meanwhile, municipal customers will start feeling the increases from July.
