JOHANNESBURG - The Border Management Authority (BMA) has temporarily suspended operations at the Qacha's Nek Port of Entry between South Africa and Lesotho due to heavy snowfall.
Authorities closed the crossing near Matatiele after weather conditions made travel unsafe for border staff and travellers.

The BMA made the decision in consultation with Lesotho authorities.
Travellers and freight operators are urged to delay their trips or use the Telle Bridge Port of Entry, about 190km away.
The BMA will monitor conditions and reopen the border when it is safe.
