JOHANNESBURG - The Special Investigating Unit has been authorised to probe allegations of maladministration at the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority and the Unemployment Insurance Fund.
This follows President Cyril Ramaphosa signing Proclamation 316 of 2026.
The proclamation grants the anti-corruption watchdog powers to investigate maladministration, improper, and unlawful conduct at both entities.
