CAPE TOWN - President Cyril Ramaphosa will face MPs for the first time since the Constitutional Court ruled that Parliament must establish a process to determine whether impeachment proceedings should be instituted against him.
Ramaphosa is due to answer questions for oral reply in the National Assembly.
He is expected to provide an update on Operation Prosper, a military deployment targeting gang-infested communities and illegal mining hotspots.
Ramaphosa is also expected to outline how the government’s investment conferences have benefited South Africans amid rising unemployment.
But opposition MPs may seize the opportunity to question the president about the Phala Phala farm theft scandal following the apex court ruling.
The president answers oral questions in the National Assembly at least once every quarter.
