Rand Water maintenance to disrupt supply

JOHANNESBURG - Taps will run dry in parts of Johannesburg as Rand Water undertakes large-scale maintenance on its systems.

The planned work, scheduled from 13 to 15 December, is expected to disrupt water supply to several areas across the city.

Rand Water says the maintenance is necessary to improve the reliability and efficiency of its infrastructure. As a result, residents may experience low water pressure or complete outages during the affected period.

Joburg Water spokesperson, Ntshavheni Mukwevho has urged residents to use water sparingly and to store sufficient water in advance.
