ZEBEDIELA – Senior members of the South African Police Service have travelled to Limpopo to join the family of the slain Constable Thapelo Tlometsane to bid him farewell.
Tlometsane, a police officer attached to the Anti-Gang Unit, was killed in an ambush shooting in Reiger Park.
He was killed with his colleague, Constable Siphiwe Sibeko, as they were responding to a shooting in that community.
Two civilians were also killed that night.
Mourners described as courageous, committed and selfless in service.
Also in attendance are Police Deputy Minister, Dr Polly Boshielo and the Acting National Commissioner of the SAPS, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane.
