Restore the power grid | Diepsloot residents fight to end dark days

DIEPSLOOT - Frustrated Diepsloot residents say Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi is their last hope.

After months in the dark, they have asked the premier to intervene to have their electricity restored.

Residents took their fight to be reconnected to the premier's doorstep after Eskom removed over 35 illegally connected transformers in the area last year.

And while the residents claim they have now paid the reconnection fee, they remain without power.

They've given officials seven days to respond, accusing their councilor of failing them and demanding his removal.
