ROBERT SOBUKWE TOWN - Robert Sobukwe's grave has been desecrated yet again.
In the latest incident, the PAC believes the culprits had sought to dig out the coffin.
This is the second time this year that vandals destroyed Sobukwe's grave.
The motive behind the destruction is unclear.
Sobukwe was an anti-apartheid stalwart and founder of the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC).
For his sins, he spent six years as a political prisoner on Robben Island.
The apartheid state then passed the notorious Sobukwe Clause - a special law that kept him behind bars indefinitely after the end of his sentence.
The town of Graaff Reinet, where he was buried, was recently renamed after him.
