POLOKWANE - The case against convicted former police officer Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu and her co-accused Nomsa Mudau has been postponed to 20 May 2026.
The postponement give the judge presiding over the case time to consider the facts presented by both the defence and prosecution before handing out a judgment.
The pair appeared before the Kempton Park Regional Court on Thursday in a case related to an alleged plot to murder Mudau's ex-husband Justice.
Justice previously testified that he was approached by a hitman who alleged he was paid to kill him. Instead of doing that, the hitman informed the man of the plan.
Mudau is currently out on bail. Ndlovu is currently serving six concurrent life sentences plus 125 years at the Kgosi Mampuru II maximum-security prison in Pretoria. In 2021, she was convicted for murdering six family members for insurance payouts, she remains in custody while facing further charges for conspiring to kill the officer who investigated her.
The case forms part of a wider investigation which exposed the series of murders linked to funeral and life insurance payouts.
Speaking outside court, Justice said he wants the matter to be brought to its finality.
"The problem is that I don't trust the situation that I am in. Anything can still happen to me. She [Mudau] belongs in jail and now that she is outside, I am always anxious and looking over my shoulder. It is not a comfortable space that I am in."
