JOHANNESBURG - There’s a call for over a million South Africans living overseas to be recognised in the National Dialogue.
As the Dialogue moves forward, 22 sectors have been invited to nominate members to its Steering Committee, but the South African diaspora has been left out.

Operation Watershed is calling on government to correct that oversight, urging dialogue organisers to include South Africans abroad as an official sector before the nomination deadline on 8 September.
An online consultation set for 3 September will give the diaspora a chance to select their own representatives.
South Africans abroad say they deserve to have a voice as they contribute to the country’s economy through remittances, investment, and skills.
