SA flights disrupted as Dubai airport shuts down after Iran strikes

JOHANNESBURG - Several international flights to and from South Africa have been suspended as the world's busiest airport has shut down.

All operations are suspended at Dubai International Airport as the US and Israel exchange airstrikes with Iran.

Emirates and Qatar Airways flights from South Africa have been halted until further notice.

Passengers are urged to check their flight statuses amid rapidly changing schedules.

The United States and Israel struck first on Saturday morning.

They targeted various military government sites, including in the capital Tehran.

Iran retaliated with missiles across the Gulf and Israel.

At least 24 pupils were killed in a strike on a school in Iran.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard reported attacks on US bases in Bahrain Qatar and the UAE.
