PRETORIA - Deputy President Paul Mashatile has arrived in Paris on a working visit to deepen trade and political ties with France.
His trip comes as President Cyril Ramaphosa visits the United States for high-level talks with Donald Trump.
Mashatile said his trip was planned six months ago.
"Initially, we were planning an investment conference, but then we escalated it to a working visit where I will be having some meetings with President [Emmanuel] Macron and the prime minister as well," he said.
