JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has received two million doses of foot-and-mouth vaccine from Turkiye.
Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen said distribution will begin within days.
The shipment forms part of a six-million-dose order.
Vaccines are being deployed to high-risk provinces and key industries to stabilise the food supply chain.
Another five million doses are expected from Argentina.
It comes as the DA demands the acceleration of the vaccine drive in Gauteng.
The SA Agri Initiative is also continuing its legal challenge to allow farmers to vaccinate their own herds.
It's also claimed that government is overpaying for the vaccines.
