JOHANNESBURG - Amnesty International is warning that the country faces a deepening crisis of corruption, crime and weak accountability.
It comes ahead of the State of the Nation Address on Thursday evening.
Amnesty cites allegations at the Madlanga Commission and says public trust in law enforcement has collapsed.

Nearly four years after the State Capture report, Amnesty says key recommendations remain unimplemented, prosecutions are limited, and reform is too slow.
It adds that justice system failures are fuelling gender-based violence, while human rights defenders and whistleblowers remain under threat.
