JOHANNESBURG - The South African Policing Union is calling for heads to roll at IDAC.
This follows the state's U-turn on its case against Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo and his co-accused.
The union has slammed IDAC's handling of cases, saying half-baked investigations were used to arrest and publicly humiliate its members.
They want those responsible for the reckless, premature or procedurally improper decisions to be held accountable.
Their statement comes after National Director of Public Prosecutions Director Andy Mothibi ordered that charges be withdrawn against Crime Intelligence head Lieutenant-General Dumisani Khumalo and six others.
Khumalo and his co-accused faced fraud and corruption charges over the appointment of Dineo Mokwele.
However, former IDAC head Andrea Johnson has since conceded that Mokwele was qualified for the job.
