LICHTENBURG - Poor financial management and political squabbles have been identified as the main reasons Ditsobotla Local Municipality in the North West is dysfunctional.
These views are shared by the municipal representative appearing before the Human Rights Commission.
With the recent political developments at the entity, these challenges seem to be far from over.
The bankrupt Ditsobotla Municipality has had 13 Municipal Managers since the beginning of the current local government administration.
This is due to political instability within the entity.
