JOHANNESBURG - CoGTA Minister Velenkosini Hlabisa leads the Local Government Indaba in Midrand on Thursday.
The two-day Indaba aims to revitalise municipality governance and restore public trust.
Over a thousand delegates, including MECs and mayors, are expected to attend the event at the Gallagher Convention Centre.
The Indaba comes at a time when several municipalities are failing to meet their service delivery obligations.
Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the Local Government Indaba Gala Dinner later in the day.
