JOHANNESBURG - Seven Emfuleni Municipality employees appear in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
They face charges of fraud, theft and tampering with essential infrastructure.
The employees are accused of taking payments from municipal clients, to illegally reconnect electricity.
All seven suspects are attached to the municipality’s Revenue and Electricity Departments.
