CAPE TOWN - Seven people have been killed in two separate shooting incidents in the Western Cape.
The first incident occurred in Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain.
Armed suspects opened fire on five men outside a spaza shop. Three victims sustained gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene. Two other victims were transported to hospital for medical treatment.
In another incident, police responded to a shooting at a residence in Philippi East, where seven people were shot.
Four victims, aged between 17 and 20 years, succumbed to their injuries.
Police say the motive for the shooting is unknown.
