Severe weather warnings issued for three provinces

Severe weather warnings have been issued for the Western Cape, Northern Cape, and Eastern Cape.

They are in place until Tuesday as multiple cold fronts hit the region.

An Orange Level 8 alert for disruptive rainfall is in place for Stellenbosch, Drakenstein, Theewaterskloof, Breede Valley, and Witzenberg.

These areas may see rainfall between 200 to 300 mm, creating a high risk of mudslides, dangerous fast-flowing rivers, and road flooding.
