JOHANNESBURG - Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya is fighting tooth and nail to return to office.
He's filed papers in the High Court, seeking to have the decision to have him stay at home set aside.
Sibiya says the stay-at-home decision is inconsistent, biased and unlawful.
He further alleges there is no lawful investigation pending against him.
Sibiya was placed on a leave of absence amid an ongoing investigation into explosive claims by KZN Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
He accuses Sibiya of conspiring with Police Minister Senzo Mchunu to disband the political killings task team.
