JOHANNESBURG - Six candidates have been shortlisted for the position of National Director of Public Prosecutions.
They will now be interviewed to replace outgoing NPA head, Shamila Batohi.
The Advisory Panel, chaired by Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi, considered 32 names.
It's now recommended Nicolette Astrid Bell, Andrea Johnson and Adrian Mopp from within the organisation.
It's also looked outside for legal minds like Hermione Cronje and Xolisile Khanyile.
Menzi Simelane may also make a comeback to the NPA.
Batohi’s term ends in January 2026 after serving for six years.
